Fee Structure We discuss the treatment options with you and give you an estimate of the likely cost. If during the course of treatment it becomes obvious that the fees are likely to go above the estimate then you will be contacted. Payment for all treatment and consultations at Surgery is due at the time of treatment or when collecting an in-patient. For your convenience we accept payment by cash, cheque (with banker’s card), Visa, Access, Switch or Solo. Of course by joining our Healthy Pet Club life is made a lot easier. Indeed many members have no fear of paying anything at all in addition to their regular payments. Please call to find out more about our exclusive Platinum member status. For equine clients we run a monthly account system – with all accounts due in full by the 16th of the month following treatment. Accounts may be paid in person, by post or over the phone by credit/debit card All new clients are asked to pay at the time for the 1st six months of registration.
The Benefits of Pet Insurance On average one-pet-in-three will require veterinary treatment for illness or accident each year – your pet could be needing surgery for broken bones, medication for skin or ear infections, or treatment for arthritis or diabetes, and as treatments become more complex and sophisticated costs inevitably rise and on many occasions can become a limiting factor. For a fraction of the feeding costs for your pet per week you can now insure him or her so that veterinary bills (with the exception of vaccination and other elective routine procedures such as neutering) will never exceed the insurance excess that you have to pay towards any treatment. Pet insurance brings you peace of mind – your pet’s health need not be compromised by financial considerations. Take care when selecting a policy – read the small print – avoid policies that have a time limit for payment for any one condition (such as many offered by supermarkets) – only pay for the cover you actually want, many unwanted extras just add to the cost. We are able to offer FREE insurance for 4 weeks when your puppy, kitten or rabbit has its first vaccination – you will be offered the option of a continuation policy at very reasonable cost. Alternatively why not make an appointment to see one of our consulting nurses. They have been trained to offer impartial advice on all insurance matters and are able to offer in conjunction with Pet Plan a fast track scheme with up to 2-months free cover.
