In 2005, I started working for St George’s Veterinary Group to cover maternity leave. Around about that time, the mobile visiting service was just starting and it worked out so well for me, I stayed on. I suspect the mobile service suits me so well because I enjoy a challenge and problem solving. My adventurous side has taken me to the heights of sky diving, the depths of scuba diving and plenty of other quests in-between.
Originating from South Africa, nature is very close to my heart. As a result, my pets are part of my family, so I treat my patients like a family member, not just an owned pet. St George’s values allow me to do this with ease.
From a veterinary point of view, I am a surgeon at heart, so I get to work in the Wolverhampton hospital on a Thursday to do more involved surgeries that are not routinely done at branches. Most of the time I am based on the mobile service, which gives clients a more personalised experience. As a Clinical Director, I share the responsibility of looking after the branch surgeries with Stuart, ensuring we continually provide the best client care.
