Senior Veterinary Surgeon - First Opinion/Charities
We are looking for a full-time Senior Vet to join our team at the Wolverhampton Consulting Centre.
It will be 4 days a week and 1 in 2 Saturdays as per our normal branch pattern. The role will be First Opinion based and the successful candidate should have a GP preference. Ideally, you will have been qualified for at least 3-4 years.
You will be based at the Wolverhampton Consulting Centre and in addition to your normal veterinary duties, you will be responsible for being the lead clinical SGV contact on all our charitable relationships. This includes BDH/Sunnyside, Guide Dogs, Police Dogs and any other commercial or charitable clients. You will visit Birmingham Dogs Home/SunnySide as part of your rota and will also play a key role in tender processes or changes to service by leading the service provision aspect of these for us i.e. help design what we will offer them or maybe how we will implement a change they ask for or a new service.
This is a clinical role, which requires the successful candidate to have some additional interests and skills:
- You should have a commercial interest/acumen to ensure that all arrangements meet the needs of both the client and SGV
- You should be a well organised individual with excellent, confident communication skills.. both verbal and written.
- As this is a senior role, this position would be equally suitable for someone who may wish to develop into CD roles in the future or just has a strong interest in supporting our charity clients and the work they do.
- We also recognise that the role holder may already hold or wish to undertake a certificate and we are open to recognising this or funding (subject to relevancy and business benefits)
Salary is dependent on experience and will be individually discussed, but is expected to be in the region of £43-45k.
